Global Change: Advocacy For Clean Water Around The World
A work in progress.... I have now joined the movement of Global Change, an advocacy for clean water around the world. It has been 10 years since I went on a journey to Kenya, Africa, where I witness first hand that people, did not have clean water for their families and their communities. I played side by side with children, that had a pond of water on their property. One day when we were playing football and it splash into the pond, I realized that the pond was an open sewage. These children became so immune to these water conditions, that it was very funny to them. However, coming from the United States of America, it was not funny and I was just sick with grief, that this even existed. This was in the year of 2003 and 10 years later, I can truthfully say that the pain ran so deep, that I began to live in denial. My silence was more harm to those children, than I will ever imagine. Today, I take my first steps, in joining the groups that is taking action for global change. Will you?
